Networking with like-minded writers

Volunteer to host a Genre Breakfast or Mealtime Meet-up

Our networking meet-ups are free to attend and informal in local cafes or restaurants to meet and mingle with other writers.

Genre Breakfast

Arrive at 9am, buy a coffee or have breakfast to start the day off and get chatting. Then head off to the talks, workshops and other writing activities. Choose the genre you'd like to host.​​

Mealtime Meet-up

Host a meet-up at lunch (12-2) or dinner (5-7) for attendees to enjoy a meal with other writers. Volunteers need to welcome and get the conversations started.

The Writing Festival will give you an allowance for your coffee/meal and will find the venues for you. You just need to turn up and have a big welcoming smile!
